Green Harvest Italian Dressing

Green Harvest Italian Dressing

Posted by Ava Evans on

I’ve always loved a good Italian dressing, but finding one with fresh, wholesome ingredients at the grocery store can be a seemingly impossible task. This recipe has solved that problem! It’s made entirely from clean, natural ingredients—no processed packets here. With organic herbs, fresh lemon, and avocado oil, it’s perfect for anyone who cares about real, healthy food. Give it a try and taste the difference!

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp ground mustard powder
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl or a mason jar, mix together the avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice.
  2. Add Sweetener: Stir in the honey until fully dissolved.
  3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Add the dried parsley, ground mustard powder, minced garlic, dried basil, crushed red pepper flakes, and dried oregano. Mix well.
  4. Season: Add salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary.
  5. Mix Thoroughly: Whisk the ingredients together until well combined, or if using a mason jar, screw the lid on tightly and shake vigorously until the dressing is well mixed.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust any seasonings as needed.
  7. Store: Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Shake well before each use.

Enjoy your fresh, homemade Green Harvest Italian Dressing!

Serving Ideas:

  • Classic Garden Salad: Drizzle over a mix of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions for a simple yet delicious salad.
  • Marinated Vegetables: Toss with sliced bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms. Let them marinate for at least an hour before serving as a side dish or grilling.
  • Pasta Salad: I use this Green Harvest Italian Dressing recipe for my Creamy Cottage Cheese Pasta Salad, and it is absolutely delicious!
  • Grilled Chicken: Use as a marinade for chicken breasts or thighs before grilling. The dressing adds a burst of flavor and helps keep the meat juicy.
